WeeSpiders is an arts organisation who manage and provide delivery of diverse, creative and energetic arts projects in the community and education.

Our arts, health and educational programs and activities support the view that strong and responsive communities are motivated by individuals who are healthy, happy and empowered.
WeeSpiders uses and teaches about new technologies and digital media combining with more traditional processes including the performing arts to learn about and from nature, culture and the environment.

Based in the NE of England, WeeSpiders is motivated and co-managed by artists Josie Stewart and Oran Milstein. We strive to collaborate with other artists, educators, professionals and organisations to create projects which are hands on, fresh and exciting.

Our mission is to share our art, knowledge and skills in a way that is meaningful, joyful and empowering to people. We use new technologies combined with traditional arts and practical activities to create exciting projects.

Education

WeeSpiders manage and deliver sessions, workshops and projects which activate the imagination, combine creative and practical skills and inspire learning. We work closely with staff to develop and deliver relevant and appropriate projects both in the classroom and broader school environment.
We aim to encourage creativity and self confidence in young people whilst supporting their personal and social development.

Community

WeeSpiders provides a range of services and projects which promote mental and physical health and well-being by engaging with arts activities and practices. We know that engagement with the arts has therapeutic benefits and is also an opportunity for people to come together doing something they enjoy. We work with people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds and ensure that our arts programs are open and accessible for everyone who wants to take part.
