The visual arts are highly accessible for everyone and there are many ways of doing art. Most people enjoy the practicality of it and may find it therapeutic to do. Everyone is better or worse than someone else. It doesn't matter. Artistic processes can be learnt and developed, borrowing from and learning about different styles and cultures.
Scale, materials, style and proportion can all be manipulated to make art which is original, exciting and speaks for itself.

I specialise in:

  • Drawing and painting

  • Explore and learn about a variety of approaches to drawing and painting and discover the many different ways you might use for example, charcoal, oil pastels, pen and inks, acrylic paint and other media. Develop your technical skills whilst finding new ways to express your ideas of the observed, abstract and beyond.

  • Traditional arts and crafts

  • Work with a range of materials such as wood, fabrics, cardboard and paper, plastics, mod roc, paper mache, industrial off cuts and scrap and found objects to make interesting and original:
    murals    /    mobiles    /    collages   /    masks    /    banners
    printmaking    /   carnival    /   costume

  • Arts appreciation

  • Make links between art and design, people and places by looking at and discussing the world in context: history, culture and the environment.
